Tana Gall, Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Tana Gall heads up the operations, business strategy, and future growth of Blue Harbor.
At Blue Harbor, we are able to drive our vision by really focusing on our employees. When employees feel part of a community--when they feel ‘heard’ ‘understood’ and ‘trusted’ they are more likely to deliver service with a smile; more likely to engender warmth and an inviting atmosphere for the client populations they serve.
Area of expertise
Tana has more than 20 years of experience working in leadership roles at two top senior living companies based in Seattle, Washington. Her growth with these leading companies gave her a well-rounded, big-picture view of the industry, and prepared her well for overseeing the daily operations and growth of Blue Harbor. Tana has also worked very closely with Argentum (formerly ALFA), the largest national association exclusively dedicated to professionally managed, resident-centered senior living communities. She has served as a board member and on a variety of committees. She is currently involved in the Argentum Executive Director Leadership Institute (EDLI).
When she is not working or volunteering, she can be found enjoying her family life in the Pacific NW and cheering on her favorite sports teams. Go Huskies! Tana’s strong work ethic translates over to her personal life as well. She believes in giving back to the community in which she lives. Prior to Blue Harbor, she co-founded 2Ten Consulting—a consulting firm specializing in senior care. Tana got her start in the senior care industry in 1994, when she was hired as the Public Relations Manager for Leisure Care.
Jason Childers, Executive Vice President of Strategy
As Executive Vice President of Strategy, Jason oversees the sales and marketing functions of Blue Harbor, works with our technology team, and contributes to our new business efforts
Working in the senior housing industry can be challenging and emotional. However, it is also extremely rewarding and fun. At the end of the day, it feels good to know that the work you have done is making a positive impact on people. It’s also a really exciting time to be in this industry. There is so much development taking place and the need for the products and services we provide will only continue to grow. I joined Blue Harbor because there is a great growth platform in place and a tremendous team. We have an opportunity to make a significant impact on seniors, their families, our employees and the industry.
Area of expertise
Jason has worked in the senior housing industry since 2002. However, he started his professional career in the advertising industry. After several years working on major accounts in strategic planning for Doner Advertising and Foote, Cone and Belding Southern California (now Draft FCB), he landed a position at a regional senior housing provider in Seattle. He quickly fell in love with the industry and, over the course of 11 years, became a partner in the company and had the opportunity to create one of the strongest senior housing brands in the industry. From there, Jason moved to a large regional senior housing developer and operator where he continued to study the industry as well as the demographic shifts and key players that would shape the future of the senior housing industry. Prior to Blue Harbor, Jason co-founded a senior housing consulting company with Tana Gall. Jason was also selected to the inaugural class of the NIC’s Future Leader Council. He has also served as a speaker and moderator at NIC events.
Jason was born in Spokane, WA and has lived in Coeur d’Alene, ID; Minneapolis, MN; San Diego, CA; and Seattle, WA. However, the Pacific Northwest has always been his true home. When he isn’t busy working on sales and marketing plans or helping partners identify and plan new development opportunities, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. While he graduated from the University California at San Diego, he has always been a fan of the Washington State Cougars where he spent his freshman year of college. Although being a Cougar fan can be tough, he likes a challenge and you can still find him at most of their home football games.
