A Day in the Life at Chateau Brickyard: Independent Living and ChoicesFebruary 20, 2016 | Chateau Brickyard
What is a day in the life of a Chateau Brickyard resident like? Our members are engaged in all sorts of daily activities and hobbies. We've constructed an example of how you might spend a day at our senior living community in Salt Lake City, although each month presents new opportunities, so consult our latest activities calendar to see what you can expect this month!
7:00am - 8:00am
Meet in the dining room for breakfast and coffee, or grab something and take it back to your senior apartment. Some of our most popular breakfast offerings are biscuits and sausage gravy, custom omelets, crepes, and bagels. Be sure to also check out our special item of the day!
Get some morning exercise by participating in one of our various classes. Some of our favorites include: Morning Stretching, Moving to Music, Strength Training, and Chair Yoga.
Pick up your weekly essentials and browse the shops of the Brickyard Plaza with us. We make a trip every Monday so you never have to go without.
10:00am - 12:00pm
Participate in a class or club! If you're looking to learn something new, try Brain Games or participate in our book club. We also offer crafting language and history classes. Download our latest activities calendar for the most up-to-date offerings.
Refuel and catch up with friends during lunch. Some of our popular options are Salisbury steak, soup and salad, chicken paprika, and lasagna.
Check on your blood pressure from the comfort of Chateau Brickyard at our Blood Pressure Clinic offered every Thursday. Need a little pampering? Stop by for a manicure from Dignity Home Health, who visits us on Mondays.
Belt out your favorite tunes at our weekly singalong, occurring every Tuesday, or chat with friends and unwind on Fridays at our weekly happy hour.
5:00pm - 6:00pm
Nosh on some dinner favorites like maple glazed ham, cheese raviolis, baked salmon, or stuffed peppers. Craving something sweet? Indulge in one of our desserts like chocolate eclair, pear crumble, or assorted ice creams. Let us know if you have dietary restrictions--we're happy to accommodate them.
6:00pm - 8:00pm
Get embroiled in a bit of friendly competition at our Games with Bernadette program on Tuesday evenings. Our evening prayer circle (Wednesday evenings) or bible study (Thursday evenings) are also great ways for residents to observe their spirituality.
No Two Days Are Exactly Alike
