Spirituality & Senior Living Spring Edition: An IntroductionMay 30, 2017 | Heritage Place
Here at Heritage Place we're lucky to enjoy a rich spiritual life. While 75-80% of our residents belong to the Church of Latter-Day Saints we welcome residents of all backgrounds to enjoy our activities and amenities geared toward spirituality.
This blog kicks off a quarterly series in which we share aspects of spirituality as it relates to senior living and our Bountiful Utah community. In coming months we'll feature different activities and events surrounding spirituality but for now we wanted to give an overview of this unique senior living feature.
A Place to Pray at Heritage Place
Because the majority of our residents are LDS we thought it'd be great to cater to their spiritual needs with a place to worship right here at Heritage Place. We have an LDS chapel in our basement and host Sunday morning services there so our LDS residents can feel right at home.
While the chapel holds LDS services it's open to all residents for prayer and worship. Our LDS service takes places every Sunday at 10am.
Spiritual Activities for Seniors
For our residents life at Heritage Place involves physical mental and spiritual enrichment. We offer several events and regular activities that allow our seniors to enjoy an active spiritual life if they so choose.
We welcome our local youth from around Salt Lake City to sing hymns with our residents on Sunday evenings. We love seeing the two generations interact and form a common bond together over music. On Mondays residents come together to discuss the Bible and Christianity in our Sunday School activity. The gathering presents a great opportunity for residents who might not have a strong spiritual background to come see what it's all about.
Spirituality & Senior Living: Coming Soon
We're so happy to have several spirituality options for our residents at Heritage Place. Stay tuned for our Summer Edition of Spirituality & Senior Living in which we'll take a closer look at activities and amenities geared toward LDS residents. Don't forget that all spirituality offerings are open to all residents regardless of their background.
If you have any questions about spirituality at Heritage Place contact us today and we'll be glad to provide more information. We'd also love to meet you in person. Schedule a tour to come see our community and all it has to offer.
