The 3 Ws & Tips to Prevent COVIDOctober 16, 2020
As we continue to navigate the pandemic, we want to make sure everyone is taking the steps necessary to stay safe, protected, and healthy.
Here at Blue Harbor Senior Living, we’ve been reminding everyone to always practice The 3 Ws!
- Wear a mask!
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Watch your distance.
Let’s break it down!
Wear A Mask!
Wear your mask if you are outside your living space and whenever you are in contact with other residents or team members. Wear a mask outside unless you are able to maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others.
Wash Your Hands
Wash your hands frequently. You should wash your hands after you’ve been in a public place and before touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. The CDC offers some great guidelines on key times to watch hands; review them here. A few of the key times it mentions is:
- Before, during, and after preparing food
- After touching an animal
- After touching garbage
- & more
We recommend carrying hand sanitizer with you, too, which will help you stay extra protected when you can’t find a bathroom to wash your hands in.
Watch Your Distance
Watch your distance. When you are outside, you can remove your mask if you are able to maintain at least 6 feet of distance. We ask you to wear a mask on group walks, for example, since it’s tough to maintain distance at all times. You can review some guidelines we’ve put together on outside vs. inside protocol.
True Blue Cares
We have been working very hard to keep everyone safe and healthy during this challenging time. We want to thank all of our True Blue heroes, along with the residents, staff, family, and friends for all your cooperation and hard work. Be sure to review this special message from our President, and let us know if you have any questions. Stay safe and healthy all, and lots of love!
