Winter Craft Activities

December 18, 2020

Happy holidays, all! When it comes to the holidays, we love to go all out! From holiday decorations to holiday music to delicious holiday-themed foods, residents at Blue Harbor enjoy getting into the holiday spirit. After all, it is a time of joy and giving!

Are you feeling creative this year? Let’s get crafty! Take a look at these wonderful winter craft activities.

#1 Make Ornaments!

This is a great way to add a personal touch to your Christmas tree or holiday decorations! You can buy simple bubble ornaments and add custom designs or maybe you want to make a salt dough ornament. Browse these creative DIY ornament ideas.

#2 Custom Watercolor Paintings

Grab a paintbrush and some paper and start painting! Perhaps you have a picture of your favorite wintry snowy scene or a great memory of a snowman. Recreate it in your own watercolor painting, which can second as a gift or a new decoration for your room!

#3 Knit a Scarf!

Brrr, it’s cold out there! Nothing like a cozy scarf to keep you warm. Knitting is good for the heart and mind; plus, you can make some very adorable accessories! Learn how to get started with knitting on our blog.

#4 Holiday Cards

One of the most special gifts you can give to a loved one is a holiday card. Make a special card and include a thoughtful message of gratitude. Here are some fun DIY Christmas card ideas!

#5 Snow Globes!

Try these waterless snow globes for a clean, tidy, fun, and easy snow globe craft activity! They’re so cute; plus, they’re easy to make and they create a wonderful holiday decoration for all to enjoy!

Of course, these are just a few holiday craft ideas to try. We hope you enjoy, and please let us know what you made on our Facebook page. Happy Holidays from the True Blue family at Blue Harbor Senior Living!
