Heritage Place COVID-19 Response
May 15, 2020
To All Residents, Family Members and Team Members at Heritage Place,
We want to thank you for your cooperation over the last few months. We understand that it has been a challenge for everyone as we have worked together to limit the spread of COVID-19 and we are so pleased that no residents or team members at our community have contracted the virus. Your support in making this happen means the world to us.
We are as anxious as you are for things to return to ‘normal’ but we do not believe it is safe or prudent to resume operations as they were prior to the pandemic. We must remain vigilant; the virus is still very much with us and continues to be a serious threat. We know that Utah is beginning to open in some areas, but restrictions remain in place for high risk individuals, including those over 65 year of age. New cases of the virus have been reported this week in other senior living communities in our area and we want to do all we can to keep that from happening at Heritage Place.
While we plan to continue to follow our protocols to protect those who live and work at our community, we also recognize the need for you to enjoy the socialization opportunities that make our community so special. We have designed a plan we will slowly implement as we begin to resume some community operations. In the next two weeks we will be offering residents the opportunity to return to the dining room and we will resume some group activities. We will also be reopening the beauty salon for appointments, something that I know will be welcome news to many of you. More specific information about our plans will be provided in the coming days.
For now, our Enhanced Resident Protection Protocol continue as outlined below:
- Visitors at not allowed in the community at this time.
- The dining room remains closed and residents are receiving all meals delivered to their apartments.
- Residents remain in their apartments during this time.
We will also continue checking residents and team members for fever symptoms each day and we ask that residents or team members alert us immediately if they are feeling ill.
As always, thank you in advance for your support and encouragement.
